Jubilations across Africa as Nigeria to send 1st African Astronaut to the moon

Nigeria  is set to send her first Astronaut to the moon. This was confirmed at the official signing of Memorandum of Understanding, MoU between Nigeria and a Brazilian company, Space Exploration  and Research Agency, SERA in Abuja on Monday.
The MoU provides Nigeria the opportunity of choosing her best candidate and send to the  first African Astronaut to the moon without bearing about $10,000 cost before the next of the year.
The Sponsor company, SERA said it aims to democratize the process by throwing the entry open to all Nigerians, irrespective of professional back ground and would allow Nigerians to choose by themselves the best contestant to represent them in the next global competitive space exploration sojourn.

The plan is in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current administration, according to Chief Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, who spoke at the ceremony. The Renewed Hope Agenda was approved in 2005 with the goal of implementing the 25-year roadmap for the National Space Policy Program, which projected to send Nigeria's first human space flight in 2018, six years behind schedule. The paraphrasing tool provided by QuillBot can assist you in rapidly and effectively reworking and rephrasing your sentences.

He stated that the event could not have occurred at a better moment since human space flight has always been a top priority for Nigeria, which is why the Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved the National Space Policy and Program (NSPP) in 2001.
